Dr Vohra's · Updated
Therapist, counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist
In India the words are used loosely. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can prescribe. A clinical psychologist holds an MPhil or PhD in clinical psychology with RCI registration and is trained in assessment and therapy. A counselling psychologist holds a master's degree and provides counselling. "Therapist" and "counsellor" are not protected titles, so ask about qualifications. Dr Vohra's therapists are psychologists.
